Jewish National Fund-USA has provided 10 million shekels in emergency aid for critical relief efforts across Be'er Sheva in the wake of the Iranian attacks on the city. These funds support a wide array of initiatives, including the rapid opening of Alexander Muss High School in Israel’s Be’er Sheva Campus to serve as a shelter for evacuees. More than 1,400 individuals—nearly 500 families—arrived within hours, many with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The campus transformed into a full-scale emergency relief center, providing food, clothing, medical care, trauma support and children’s programming. The facility even welcomed pets and adapted spaces for the elderly, ill, and essential personnel.
Additional funding is also being used to: strengthen local community resilience networks, supply advanced command vehicles and emergency response equipment and support small businesses and employment recovery efforts.
