Latvia on drone intrusion: likely launched by Ukraine toward targets in Russia

|
Latvia's Defense Minister Andris Sprūds announced that the drones that entered the country's territory from Russia were most likely launched by Ukraine against Russian targets. According to police and fire services, four empty fuel tanks were damaged when one of the drones hit a storage facility in the city of Rēzekne, located about 40 kilometers from the Russian border. Sprūds added that NATO aircraft were scrambled to the area. Earlier, authorities announced that schools in Rēzekne would remain closed during the day.
