Romanian presidential frontrunner pledges ties with Israel despite ICC warrants

Far-right Romanian presidential hopeful Călin Georgescu, leading after the first election round, told Israeli Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli on Thursday he would invite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Bucharest if he wins despite ICC warrants.
Georgescu also vowed to relocate Romania’s embassy to Jerusalem and enforce zero tolerance for antisemitism.
