Britain, France and Canada sharply criticized Israel in a joint statement, saying they would consider imposing sanctions against Israel due to the 'intolerable' escalation in Gaza. The powers called on Israel to 'immediately cease its military operations in Gaza and remove restrictions on humanitarian aid entry.' According to them, 'the level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable.' The countries' leaders also accused the Israeli government of failing to provide essential humanitarian aid, stating this 'could constitute a violation of international humanitarian law.'
