In a Transportation Ministry press briefing, the ministry's security division claims that the names of the Fly Dubai flight crew were not provided to them in advance and that they rely on a declaration from the foreign company regarding security checks conducted on the flight crew members. "We are not an intelligence body that checks the intelligence background of foreign individuals. We don't have forces abroad, we don't have a team that checks every person there," it was stated. When asked how many pilots from hostile countries have already landed in Israel, the Civil Aviation Authority did not have an answer: "We estimate there haven't been any. But we don't have certainty. There's no 100 percent in security, we'll stop aviation and then everything will be safe."
