Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with the head of the Red Cross delegation in the region, Julian Larisson, and requested "his involvement in providing food to our hostages and immediate medical treatment for them." This was reported by the Prime Minister's Office on day 667 of the war. It was also stated that "The Prime Minister told Larisson that Hamas's 'starvation lie' is resonating around the world, while the systematic starvation is directed at our hostages who suffer from cruel physical and mental abuse. The world cannot stand by in the face of shocking images that are reminiscent of Nazi crimes."
