6 men arrested for allegedly pickpocketing elderly, withdrawing about one million shekels

Police arrested six men from central and southern Israel (in their 30s), members of a Georgian gang, on suspicion of stealing phones and wallets from more than 100 elderly people across the country and withdrawing over 1.5 million shekels from their accounts. According to the allegations, the gang operated throughout Israel, targeting elderly people in their 70s-90s. Their method involved crushing elderly passengers on buses to pickpocket wallets and mobile phones from their bags.
