The Health Ministry has warned the public against using the DRAGONFLY hair straightening product, following the hospitalization of a girl with kidney damage after undergoing hair straightening at a home salon. An investigation by the ministry reveals that the product's license was revoked at the manufacturer's request and that although the product label states 'Licensed by the Health Ministry,' the product no longer appears in the ministry's cosmetics database. Following the girl's hospitalization, the ministry is warning the public and professionals against using, marketing or distributing the product and calling for an immediate halt to its use and marketing.
