A court in India sentenced three men to death for the gang rape of an Israeli tourist and a local guesthouse owner and the murder of another tourist. This was the ruling of the court in the Koppal district in the state of Karnataka, India. They were convicted of sexual offenses and murder after attacking in a group on the night between March 6 and 7, 2025, in the Sanpura area. The men are also charged with gang rape of two women and causing grievous bodily harm. The judge ruled that the offenses are defined as the most serious criminal act, and therefore they should be executed. The sentence is still subject to approval by the High Court of Karnataka.
