The U.S. State Department responded to a speech by Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in which he blamed President Donald Trump for casualties during protests in his country and called them an "American rebellion." In a Persian-language post on X, it stated: "We have heard reports that the Islamic Republic is preparing options to attack American bases. As President Trump has repeatedly emphasized - all options remain on the table. If the regime attacks American assets, it will face a very powerful force. Don't play games with President Trump."
