The government approved via telephone vote the redistribution of Shas portfolios, after the ultra-Orthodox party and its ministers resigned from the government. Ministers Gideon Saar, Zeev Elkin and Gila Gamliel opposed the distribution, according to which Justice Minister Yariv Levin will serve as acting minister of Interior, Religious Services and Labor. Haim Katz, who serves as Tourism Minister and acting Housing and Construction Minister following the resignation of Yitzhak Goldknopf (United Torah Judaism), will serve as acting Welfare and Health Minister.
