Thai national Chawat Walanil (34) was killed overnight when a submunition from a ballistic missile struck a moshav in the Sharon region. The Southern Sharon Regional Council said: "The council expresses deep sorrow and great pain over the death of Walanil, who came to Israel about 10 months ago to work in agriculture. He left behind a wife. This is a painful loss that reminds us how fragile human life is, and how complex and difficult the reality we live in is. The council shares in the family's grief and is in contact with the relevant authorities to provide all possible assistance during this difficult time."
