One servicemember has been killed and another seven wounded in an Israeli strike on an airport in the Aleppo area, Syrian state news agency SANA reported overnight Tuesday, citing a military source.
The source added that the airfield was put out of service due to the attack.
The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority announced shortly later that the airport in Aleppo, which is also used for military purposes and also receives cargo flights from Iran, was completely out of service and its only runway was closed.
