Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya said Saturday that the terrorist group had responded positively to a ceasefire proposal submitted two days earlier by Egyptian and Qatari mediators, accusing Israel of potentially derailing the deal. “We are committed to the agreement we signed and only seek to implement it,” he said.
Al-Hayya emphasized that Hamas would not disarm "as long as Israeli occupation persists."
