Rabin's grandson at state memorial ceremony: 'The murder settled a political dispute with bullets'

|
Yonatan Ben-Artzi, grandson of the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, said at the state memorial ceremony for his grandfather that "the murder was not just a personal loss. It was a successful attempt to settle with bullets a dispute that should have been resolved between citizens, in the Knesset and at the ballot box." According to him, "A personal memory that has stayed with me for over 30 years: I was a soldier and a deputy company commander approached me and said, 'Your grandfather better not dare return the Golan, or we'll kill him.' Yitzhak Rabin's memory should not be the heritage of one camp alone."
