New York Gov. Cathy Hochul, whose state has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, announced that she will arrive in Israel today "on a mission to express solidarity," the New York times reported. Hochul, a Democrat, said that she intends to meet with Israeli leaders and communities "devastated by the terrible attacks of Hamas." "In these difficult times, it is more important than ever for New York to express support for Israel," she said in a statement. "New York will show the world that we stand by Israel - today, tomorrow and forever." (Ynet)
