Iran is not interested in a regional war, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said on Monday as tensions with Israel are running high following the Islamic Republic’s attack on the Jewish state.
"We are not interested in a regional war. Our response to Israel was to preserve regional security,” he said. “We targeted only two military and intelligence centers in Israel in retaliation for the attack on our embassy - and we did not target any civilian objectives." (Lior Ben-Ari)
