Pardes-Hanna joins other local councils on Thursday strike demanding hostage return deal

Yoni Hakimi, the head of the Pardes Hanna-Karkur Council, announced that his council will cease operations this coming Thursday as a show of solidarity with the captives held by Hamas. Hakimi stated: "As a community that has borne the national burden since the beginning of the 'Iron Swords' war and October 7th, and out of a sense of responsibility and solidarity, the management members and I decided to shut down the council's activities for two hours as a sign of solidarity with the captives." Additionally, the council head mentioned that he has sent a letter to the chairman of the local government and heads of authorities to join the strike. The Ramat Hasharon local council have already announced they will follow suit.
