Former head of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amos Yadlin, lauded on Sunday the government's tempered conduct vis-à-vis Gaza and the unrest in Jerusalem.
According to Yadlin, the government's lack of military response to the latest rocket fire from Gaza serves to delay another round of fighting, which he added should begin "at a time that suits [Israel], with an element of surprise."
Yadlin further referred to the riots in Jerusalem and on the Temple Mount, adding that the government was successful, because "no blood was spilled in Jerusalem and no fuel was spilled on the fire of incitement."
