Israel will appoint former Israeli footballer and hall of fame member Alon Hazan as the new coach of the national soccer team after the nominating committee unanimously approved his candidacy on Tuesday.
The former central midfielder will leave his job as coach of the Israel national under-21 football team.
"I would like to thank you for the trust placed in me by the national team technical director Yossi Benayoun and the members of the nominating committee," Hazan said.
