The Hostages and Missing Families Forum addressed the Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip, stating that following "the Israeli government's decision to sacrifice the 59 hostages, the families of the captives are now making their way to Jerusalem and calling on the people of Israel to join." According to the headquarters, "There is nothing more urgent than this. Military pressure will lead to the killing of the living hostages and the disappearance of the deceased." Shelly Shem Tov, whose son Omer was released in the deal, called on the marchers: "There is no more important time. It is no coincidence that today you are marching with us."
