Trump calls for limiting credit card interest rates for one year: 'We won't let Americans be deceived'

|
US President Donald Trump called for limiting credit card interest rates in the United States to 10% for one year. On his social network Truth Social, he wrote: "We will no longer allow the American public to be deceived by credit card companies charging 20-30% interest rates and even more. Starting January 20, 2026, as President of the United States, I call for a 10% limit on credit card interest rates for one year. Coincidentally, January 20 will mark one year of the historic and very successful Trump administration."
