The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment in the Nazareth District Court against the former treasurer of the Tuba-Zangariyye Council, his sister and two sons, who are accused of extracting millions of shekels from council funds. According to the indictment, as part of his role, the treasurer fraudulently withdrew money from the council monthly by inflating his monthly salary. The defendant also issued inflated wages for his sister who was employed by the council. Additionally, he added fictitious employees to the payroll list, depositing their salaries to himself, and included his two sons on the employee list who received salaries as council workers for years.
