Police detained a 21-year-old man for questioning after seizing drugs in an apartment in the Neve Sharett neighborhood in northern Tel Aviv and finding seven Amstaff dogs kept in substandard conditions, including four puppies. Police reported that the young man is suspected of several offenses, including drug crimes, animal cruelty, violation of dog control regulations and breeding of a dangerous breed. The dogs were transferred to a municipal shelter.
