Police arrested two truck drivers, residents of Daburiyya and Zarzir in northern Israel, on suspicion of attempting to transfer prohibited goods to the Gaza Strip under the guise of humanitarian aid. This was reported by the police and the Tax Authority, who noted that during police operations, forces located two trucks near the Kerem Shalom crossing where the drivers were arrested. The goods were transferred to customs officials for inspection, which revealed that the trucks contained large quantities of tobacco products and cigarettes with an estimated value of hundreds of thousands of shekels. The drivers were released with restrictions.
