Large tunnel discovered hundreds of meters from Gaza border after ground collapse in storm

|
Recent weather damage caused the collapse of a large underground cavity, several hundred meters from the Gaza border in the northern part of the Strip, within the buffer zone that is expected to remain under Israeli control in any scenario. This was learned by ynet. The IDF suspects it is a significant Hamas tunnel that has not been discovered until now, and it is currently being investigated to determine its route and whether it reaches and crosses the Yellow Line. The new tunnel was discovered during a scan by soldiers from Golani's 12th Battalion. The soldiers identified the ground that collapsed due to heavy rains and isolated the area, about 800 meters from the border, parallel to Kibbutz Kisufim in the central Gaza Strip. Investigation of the route continues, as well as its branches in the area.
