US military denies: Operation to escort ships through Hormuz not resumed, no vessel convoy

|
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) denied the Wall Street Journal report claiming the Navy resumed the operation to escort vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on X labeled 'fact check,' the command stated the claim was false and that the operation, dubbed 'Project Freedom' by U.S. President Donald Trump, has not been resumed. 'U.S. military forces are not currently escorting commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz,' the post read.
