|
The Iranian army claimed that an oil tanker that "committed a violation" caught fire east of the Strait of Hormuz. "A few hours ago, during a patrol east of the Strait of Hormuz, Navy surveillance teams identified an oil tanker that committed a violation and caught fire," the Iranian army stated. "The vessel disabled its tracking systems in an attempt to pass through a prohibited area in the Sea of Oman. The Strait of Hormuz remains under full control and supervision of the army's Navy personnel and the Revolutionary Guards' Navy."
