Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, who is replacing Justice Minister Yariv Levin in handling Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's pardon request, has submitted his opinion to President Isaac Herzog, along with the opinion of the Justice Ministry's Pardons Department. The President's Office legal adviser will review the materials and present her recommendations to the president. The President's Office stated: 'Any attempt to influence the decision-making process in one way or another will not affect the president's discretion. The president will act solely according to the law, the dictates of his conscience and the good of the state.'
