The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Younis Mohamad Hussein Alyan yesterday, commander of the northern Gaza Strip brigade of Hamas' naval force. According to the IDF spokesperson, Alyan was responsible for operating the brigade's naval forces and advancing its force-building processes, and commanded the training and instruction of terrorists and management of combat equipment readiness. It was further reported that Alyan worked to restore the brigade's capabilities and planned to carry out terror attacks against IDF forces operating in the Strip and in Israel.
