Israel's UN Ambassador Danny Danon participated in a UN Security Council debate on the Middle East and announced that Israel would take measures against the organization's humanitarian aid agency (OCHA), after claiming links between senior officials in the organization and Hamas. "OCHA is a Hamas propaganda arm operating from within the UN, using false data to harm Israel," he said. According to him, hundreds of agency employees in Israel will undergo security screening, and residence visas for senior officials will not be renewed, including OCHA's West Bank branch head Jonathan Whittall.
