A 40-year-old man was stung by a venomous fish while surfing near Palmachim Beach in the Rishon LeZion area. MDA medics provided medical treatment and evacuated him to Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) in Be'er Yaakov, as he was suffering from an allergic reaction. Paramedics Saar Shai and Uri Gabriel said: "We arrived at the beach and saw a fully conscious man with sting marks on his hand in the clinic. A medic at the scene had started administering first aid. We were told he was stung in the water by a lionfish, which is a venomous and dangerous fish. He was in pain and showing signs of an allergic reaction. We provided supportive medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in stable condition."
