About 12% of reserve soldiers serving in Operation Swords of Iron report multiple symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), according to a new study by Tel Aviv University researchers. The data indicates severe and ongoing psychological impact from combat reserve duty. The study's findings show a dramatic increase in reports of PTSD symptoms among March 2019 service graduates compared to their regular service period - when only 4-6% of soldiers reported symptoms - and more than double compared to six months after discharge, when about 8% were measured.
