Chief Rabbi calls for measles vaccination: 'Parent who fails to do so bears responsibility for bloodshed'

The Sephardic Chief Rabbi, Rishon LeZion Rabbi David Yosef, addressed the outbreak of measles among children and said that "a parent who does not vaccinate their children bears serious responsibility for bloodshed, according to Jewish law, without doubt and without question. A sacred duty is imposed on every man and woman to vaccinate their children as soon as possible."
