IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a field tour in Tulkarem with Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Blot and addressed the continuing fighting in the Gaza Strip. He said that "the campaign is ongoing, we are expanding operations in Gaza in the coming days and are committed to acting responsibly." The Chief of Staff spoke with soldiers and commanders of the Paratroopers Brigade and said "We are operating in all sectors responsibly and with constant vigilance – we don't have the right to let up. The mission in Judea and Samaria is clear - to thwart terrorism and protect the settlements."
