Families of the October Council stated following election polls that "these elections were about truth, about responsibility and about establishing a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 massacre. Tonight, a clear majority of 70 lawmakers is emerging in the next Knesset for establishing the commission. Israeli citizens have spoken and the time has come for elected officials to do what is required of them." According to them, "we demand that all party leaders and all Knesset members who committed to establishing a state commission of inquiry stand together, even before the new Knesset convenes, and commit that on the very first day of its operation they will work to establish a state commission of inquiry, without delay and without conditions."
