Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara expressed opposition to the appointment of Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar-Tal as Acting Civil Service Commissioner. In her statement, Baharav-Miara explained that the commissioner's appointment was made without legally required consultation with her, therefore rendering the decision legally invalid. According to her, 'Assigning the role of Civil Service Commissioner to the Foreign Ministry Director General raises difficulties that require examination.'
