MK Naama Lazimi has appealed to Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara requesting guidelines ahead of the wedding of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son Avner, to define the maximum gift amount the family would be permitted to receive. The request stated: "Netanyahu is currently under criminal proceedings for bribery and breach of trust. Expensive gifts given by guests at a family event could potentially serve as money laundering and benefits disguised as private gifts."
