President Isaac Herzog spoke with the families of Ofra Kedar, Shai Levinson and Yonatan Samerano, whose bodies were recovered from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip. Shai's mother told the president that "his return gives us comfort, it doesn't make it easier at all but it provides some solace. Shai was a hero, determined to engage with the enemy - he didn't hesitate for a moment and saved many lives, and that's how we will remember him." Herzog told Yonatan's mother that "you've been through such a long journey, you are an amazing woman, I console you on behalf of all the people of Israel, we will always remember Yonatan with great love." In his conversation with the family of Ofra Kedar, the president sought to strengthen and comfort them in their difficult time and added that "the supreme commitment of the State of Israel is to bring back all the hostages as soon as possible."
