KAN public broadcaster CEO Golan Yochpaz addressed for the first time the boycotts against Israel by countries in Eurovision and the possibility of disqualification from the competition. He said that "since the establishment of the corporation, Israel has been one of the most successful participants in Eurovision. There is no reason why Israel should not continue to be a significant part of this cultural event which must not become political under any circumstances."
