Mother of Ofri Yafe, killed in Gaza, sends message to sniper who shot him: 'I conveyed our love'

|
Hadas, the mother of Staff Sgt. Ofri Yafe, a paratrooper reconnaissance fighter who was killed by IDF fire in Khan Yunis, said she received a message from one of his comrades, who works alongside the snipers, one of whom hit her son. She described how that soldier wanted to apologize to her, and in an interview on Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) she said: 'I wrote to him to tell the sniper who hit him our love, and it's enough that Ofri's life was cut short — we don't want the soul of that poor sniper to be harmed.' According to her, 'Does that sound logical? Is there no value to life? It's so arbitrary. Why is this incursion into Gaza necessary? Really. I'm not angry at the army.'
