Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Russia's massive attack, in which at least 13 people were killed across the country, saying that "the main strike was on Kyiv, dozens of residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged." He noted that four people were killed in the capital and nine were killed when a residential building was hit in Dnipro, with six people listed as missing. According to him, "the Russians struck Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv and Khmelnytskyi regions. Russia launched 656 drones and 73 missiles. Europe needs its own anti-ballistic defense so that the war can be ended, and U.S. assistance in supplying missiles for Patriot systems is essential."
