The Tel Aviv District Court convicted Roey Kozin, the chief analyst of UTrade, on multiple counts of aiding and abetting obtaining property by fraud under aggravated circumstances, in which approximately 77 million shekels were raised from about 600 of the company's clients. Under a plea agreement reached between the parties, Kozin admitted to the acts. As part of the agreement, the parties will request that he be sentenced to 22 months of actual imprisonment and a fine of 25,000 shekels. According to the indictment, false representations were made to clients during the recruitment process and material information regarding the company's activities was concealed from them. Among other things, false data regarding the returns generated by the trading activity were presented to clients, even though Kozin knew that the data did not reflect the company's actual performance.
