American news network CNN reports that Oman has proposed to Iran to allow free movement through two separate shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the proposal, in one of the lanes, which would pass through Iran's territorial waters, ships would be required to announce their passage in advance, but would not be charged a fee.
