Italian tourism fair cancels Israeli booth participation in exhibition

|
A tourism fair in Italy, TTG in the city of Rimini, announced it has canceled the participation of an Israeli booth in the exhibition to be held in October. The mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, who is of Iranian origin, published on X the reason for the city's decision: "Security concerns, the risk of attacks and protests, as well as the enormous growing tension in Italy surrounding Tel Aviv's attack on Gaza, prompted the region and municipality to request reconsideration of the presence of the Israeli booth." Israel's ambassador to the country, Jonathan Peled, responded: "The decision to remove the Israeli Tourism Board from the TTG fair in Rimini represents another intrusion of political ideology."
