Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz in New York. Saar stated that "in the trilateral summit, the three countries reaffirmed a series of steps to upgrade Israel-Morocco relations, including, among other things, upgrading diplomatic relations between Israel and Morocco, elevating the rank of the missions in both countries to embassies and appointing ambassadors." According to him, Israel and Morocco agreed to complete by the end of 2026 agreements on investment protection and prevention of double taxation, which will facilitate mutual investments and help advance economic and business ties between the peoples and the countries. In addition, it was agreed to expand direct flights between Israel and Morocco and conduct mutual high-level visits.
