Religious Zionism party leader and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich addressed the agreement between the U.S. and Iran at the start of his faction meeting, saying, 'It's impossible to escape the sense of bitterness that characterizes all of us today.' He added that 'the agreement with Iran is a bad deal for Israel and for the entire free world. I hear quite a bit of criticism and suggestions from the outside, but we must tell the truth: the political, security and international pressure being exerted during this period on the government of Israel and on the prime minister is unprecedented. Our immediate test now is in Lebanon. Therefore, Israel must maintain a long-term presence in the security zone.'
