High Court issues conditional order on bill to control Israel Bar Association budget

The High Court of Justice issued a conditional order against the Israel Bar Association (Membership Fees) bill, following petitions submitted on the matter. The bill stipulates that the Bar Association may only use mandatory fees and membership dues collected from its members to fund its mandatory statutory functions - supervision of interns, ethics judiciary system, as well as additional activities listed in the second addendum such as elections to Bar institutions and fee-related matters.
