The Tourism Ministry will receive a dedicated budget to manage the evacuation system for residents in fire zones, following the fires in the Jerusalem Hills. In response to the fires, Tourism Minister Haim Katz approached the Prime Minister and National Emergency Authority, offering to assist in evacuating displaced residents to hotels. With the ministry's assistance and in cooperation with the Hotel Association, National Emergency Authority and local councils, hotel rooms will be made available to evacuated residents as needed.
