Severe disruptions to train services across Israel due to damaged electrification cables

|
Israel Railways has reported that the electrification infrastructure cables damaged yesterday were affected by a freight train for unclear reasons. As a result, there will be no public service this morning between Binyamina and Netanya stations, and between Tel Aviv HaHagana and Lod/Ben Gurion Airport stations. Instead, train lines will operate according to the following schedule: Beer Sheva line to Lod and back; Beit Shemesh line to Lod and back; Ashkelon-Binyamina line from the southern side to Lod and back; Yitzhak Navon line to Ben Gurion Airport and back; Nahariya-Beer Sheva line from the northern side to Binyamina. According to Israel Railways, the Rishonim line is fully operational, as well as the Ashkelon-Herzliya line and the Modi'in-Yitzhak Navon line. The company is also operating shuttle services at Tel Aviv Savidor Central, Lod, Ben Gurion Airport, Netanya, Binyamina, Haifa Hof HaCarmel and Modi'in Central stations.
